Programski koordinator Centra za razvoj građanskog društva – Milenijum Marko Živković učestvovao je u Briselu na evropskoj konferenciji mladih „YOUth can do it“ održanoj u Briselu u organizaciji poslaničke grupe „Renew Europe“.

Na događaju na kome je učestvovalo preko 140 mladih ljudi iz cele Evrope razgovaralo se o preduzetništvu, mentalnom zdravlju, klimatskim promenama i inkluziji. Pored stručnjaka iz ovih oblasti, na konferenciji je učestvovalo i 9 poslanika ove poslaničke grupe.

U okviru panela o klimatskim promenama Živković je iskoristio da skrene pažnju na slučaj planine Starica u opštini Majdanpek koju kineski ZiJin planira da sruši. Ova tema posebno je zainteresovala jednog od panelista Nikolaja Stefanuta, poslanika u Evropskom paralmentu, koji je od Živkovića zatražio da ga dalje uputi u ovaj slučaj. Ova tema je takođe zainterosavala nekolicinu predstavnika organizacija koje se bore za zaštitu životne sredine i borbu protiv klimatskih promena.

Živković je sa predstavnicima „Renew Europe“ razgovarao o potencijalnoj saradnji na polju promocije vrednosti Evropske unije, kao i liberalnih vrednosti u Srbiji.

Marko Živković at the conference “Youth can do it” in Brussels.

Program coordinator of the Center for the Development of Civil Society – Milenijum Marko Živković participated in the European youth conference “YOUth can do it” held in Brussels organized by the parliamentary group “Renew Europe”.

The event, attended by over 140 young people from all over Europe, discussed entrepreneurship, mental health, climate change, and inclusion. In addition to experts from these fields, 9 MPs from this parliamentary group also participated in the conference.

Within the panel on climate change, Živković used the opportunity to draw attention to the case of Mount Starica in the municipality of Majdanpek, which China’s Zijin plans to demolish. This topic particularly interested one of the panelists, Nicolae Stefanuta, a member of the European Parliament, who asked Živković to refer him further to this case. This topic also interested several representatives of organizations fighting for environmental protection and the fight against climate change.

Živković discussed with the representatives of “Renew Europe” potential cooperation in the field of promoting the values ​​of the European Union, as well as liberal values ​​in Serbia.
